It's Christmas time again!

December's my favourite month of the year! I love seeing pretty Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas carols playing at the malls. Not forgetting shopping for presents...more window shopping this year as we need to budget for our baby! Can't resist snapping pictures everywhere I go. Here are some of them :)

Even as we celebrate Christmas this year let's not forget the real meaning of Christmas.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

Christmas Mood

It's my favourite time of the year.... brightly lit Christmas trees everywhere, Christmas carols playing in the shopping malls and lots of people in holiday mood. December is a time to be thankful for all God has blessed me with :)

In the midst of all the activity around me, I must never forget the one and only reason for the season...God coming to earth in the form of Jesus Christ to bring salvation to us.

Nepalese Christmas Party

Hubby and I are involved in the Nepalese Ministry in church. It was started about 6 years ago by our friend Kelvin Yong who now heads the ministry. There are hundreds of thousands of Nepalese workers in Malaysia and they mostly work as security guards or factory workers.

Over the last 6 years, we have met many nice Nepalese friends, some of whom we have visited in Nepal after they returned to their country. Every year, we organise a Nepalese Christmas Party for them. We had a fabulous time and the Nepalese danced and sang their hearts out that night. Here are some pictures :)

Christmas!

I'm feeling sad because Christmas is over already. Its my favourite time of the year. This month has been really hectic in church and I'm doing my best to enjoy December while it lasts.

I went for a Japanese buffet dinner with my family on Christmas Eve... that was nice. Woke up at about 6 something on Christmas morning to go to church. Of course, it was a working day for all church staff. We had 2 services, then off we went to Fui Ping's house for a Christmas lunch party.

Hubby and I had a Christmas party at our condo poolside with his cell group at night, and we had fun singing carols and just having a feast.

I started opening presents around midnight... what a long but wonderful day! Here are some pics :)

Christmas is here again!

I love Christmas! It's my first year celebrating Christmas in my new home so I've done some Christmas decorating and I'm enjoying every bit of it. As usual, most of my decorations are from Ikea :) I try not to overspend so I'm pretty choosy with what I buy. We don't live in a big place, just about 800+ sqft but I believe that a cosy home is what we make of it.

Christmas at Home

Christmas week was fun and relaxing. I spent many nights wrapping presents past midnight! Had dinner with my family at La Swiss in Damansara Heights on Christmas Eve, the food was yummy... I had crab bisque soup, smoked fish (can't remember what fish it was), turkey with cranberry sauce and Christmas parfait with brandy....

Went to church on Christmas Day... we had to be in church by 6:45am. I think I must have been worried I wouldn't wake up on time so I woke up at 4:30am and didn't go back to sleep after that! So by Christmas afternoon I was really sleepy. My cell group came over on Christmas evening and we spent most of the time chatting, playing with Spottie and eating.... Of course, we sang some carols.

I have to say my parents were really great, they had their own Christmas dinner that night, but they did lots to clean the house up for the gathering :) And mum cooked delicious curry chicken for us.

Spent the day after Christmas at home, been taking Spottie on his 45 minute walks most of the week because I'm clearing leave. (No wonder people have been commenting that I'm more tanned. Must be all the walks under the hot sun). So he's been sticking to me the times I'm home. Watched Bedtime Stories with Hoi Hian at night... I like Bugsy!

I watched 'Mamma Mia!' with Lin Fong, Julia and Oli yesterday! It was superb!! At the end of the show the audience was standing, clapping and dancing with the cast :) The lighting was exceptionally good, I counted that they had at least 40 moving heads on stage. Lin Fong was a bit distracted by the a couple sitting in front of her. Apparently, they were 'making out' and the aunty sitting next to them was staring fiercely. Haha. The props crew were really efficient and they seemed to be part of the act as well. Very interesting and smooth flowing! Definitely a good experience and worth the money spent.

I'm still in Christmas mood, and I'm glad this Christmas has been a meaningful one for me spent with family and friends.
